writing
My philosophy of writing is that words should be as simple as possible, and no simpler. Studying normal, average speech is critical for understanding appropriate conversational lexicon and syntax—and for writing anything people will actually READ these day!
Here's a sample of some of the writing I've done professionally and personally.
Pol.is (2017+)
Many articles in the Computational Democracy Project Knowledge Base
Transpose (2015-2016)
Though I worked on UI, emails, help and support text, videos, blogs, and white papers, Transpose is more or less wiped from the internet at this point, but here and here are a couple of screenshots. The other place it lives on is through its YouTube channel. The writing and video production was all done by me (excuse the video quality, but the writing I stand by!).

Interview Coaching (2015+)
I've written several articles and how-to guides in my capacity as an interview coach. Here are a few:
BLOGS
Lucian's story - Diary of my son's 6 weeks at Seattle Children's Hospital following his birth in May 2012.
The Examined Wine - Blog I wrote during a year obsessed with wine.
